John graduated from Grace College with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health in 2011, after God changed his life goals and values. John received his B.S. in Elementary Education from Grace College and also completed a graduate degree from Grace Seminary. After being employed as an educator for nine years, he worked in production and inventory management for a local manufacturer. John has been married to Viki for over 45 years. They have three children, and eight grandchildren.

John’s Cognitive Behavior Therapy approach is grounded in a Biblical perspective. That perspective is informed, rooted, and directed by Scripture, which states in Romans 12:2 that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Therefore, assisting clients to identify their distorted thoughts and make changes to behavior is the goal of therapy.

John counsels individuals and couples with a warm and personable style, yet direct as necessary, to work through the problems of life. With his life experiences, John’s main desire is to improve family dynamics. He is especially interested in helping couples experience fulfillment and hope in their marriage relationship, as he has found in his after many struggles. He is a Prepare/Enrich marriage assessment Trainer and Facilitator. He also has training and experience in the treatment of addictions, depression, anxiety, social phobias, ADHD, and grief. John works with clients in Warsaw or via teletherapy, from upper elementary through senior citizens.
